Our Journey vs Oat Meal.

So I have decided in my blogging, I want to focus on how on the everyday events that people can relate to. Maybe they will, maybe they won't apply to you but the will revolve on a similar approach.  I've decided, that like a very good comedian, I'm going to teach using gernal life experiances or stories. I'm mean nothing is better then laughing at a joke that just makes fun of the everyday gernal events people go through. We all are different for sure but when it comes down to push and shove we still all exist with one gernal purpose which is go back and live with God so we will be having similar paths at some point.
For an example, everyone will read a set of directions at some time in there life. And those who have know it's not really any fun to do I they can't make sense. I'll tell you what I mean.
I picked up a package of oatmeal one day deciding I would love to try this apple-cinnamon brown suger mix. I look at the label to read the directions and it was all in spanish! Realizing the predicament I was now faced, I still attempted to make the mix. Pictures of what looked like water dumped in sand with small raisons, was my guide in the production. Each little photo showed small caricatures which eventually lead to a final yum, "lets eat" warm cearal. After studying the images I went to work. I filled my bowl full of water. Now, I don't think you under stand this part about 'my bowl' very clearly. The bowls at my house are huge! Filling that thing with water is like filling 3 cups of glass. I Threw the oats in the water and right after I stuck that all in the microwaze. Wanting the oat meal well cooked I thought for sure it would only need 5 or 6 minutes to be cooked. Once it was started, I exited the room for a moment, which actually was 3 moments because that adds up to about 6 minutes. When I returned... I quickly turned around retreating to the laundry room for a towel. My oat meal was no volcano of apple oats; gushing all over the interior of the microwaze unit.
Realizing defeat on this first attempt becuase of how difficalt instruction can be in a foreign language, I called my friend for round TWO! When Laynie answered the phone didn't bother with bringing up what happen to pack one, but asked her how to make the apple-cinnamon brown suger mix oat meal that I so dearly wanted very bad. She then gave me some instruction which I fallowed with exactness. I took the bowl of oats out of the micro wave, mixed and it was ready for munching.
How frustrating can instruction get sometimes? I mean they are there, on the pack, for me but what good do they do if I can't understand them.
My friends, through out all our life we are given instructions from our Heavenly Father. It's frustrating sometimes because we just might not understand what he means. I can't figure out this verse in the scriptures or I can't understand why thats how it needs to be for me to be happy? The answer may not always be right there number 1,2,3 with small little pictures to follow below but thats ok. There are friends out there who are waiting on call just for you. They would be God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. The master to your phone is yoursalf. You hold the power. You have the number. Because the was you dial is when you knee down and pray. I can promise that questions on a instruction given from will be brought to understanding prayed upon to find out. God will do this for you. He love each and everyone one of us. He hasn't placed here on earth to be confused. "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that givith to all man liberaily, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." (James 1:5)
I leave this with you in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Testimony

While out on my mission I've met a large number of different people. People who are open to the message and others who reject it.

A lady once asked me to pray about the Book of Mormon and ask if it is true. "You can not know these things," she would remark, "you can not know that the book is true."

I respond to her in the most loving way possible. So, I opened my mouth and told her I had already done the thing she has asked me many times over the past 5 years. And over those past 5 years the lord has testified that the book is true.

I know that the Book of Mormon is true. It doesn't just change lives, but it saves lives. I know it has saved mine. The book brings the fullness of Christ gospel back to the earth. I'm serving my mission not for any reason other then to give the world the same opportunity to be saved themselves and have the fullness of the gospel! Jesus Christ is my savior. The Book of Mormon teaches me this truth. I know Joseph Smith is prophet. I know Christ's church is established once again. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.
